Iced Out
G-Shocks
CLEARCUTVVS created the iced out G-Shock movement — transforming the world's most durable watch into a wearable statement of brilliance. Every stone passes a diamond tester. Every piece is built to last.
01
What is an Iced Out G-Shock?
An iced out G-Shock is an authentic Casio G-Shock watch that has been custom-fitted with genuine, diamond-tester-approved stones across its bezel, case, and band. The G-Shock — short for "Gravitational Shock" — was introduced by Casio in 1983 as the toughest digital watch ever built, engineered to survive a 10-meter drop onto concrete and resist 200 meters of water pressure. By overlaying this legendary durability with full diamond coverage, the iced out G-Shock became a cultural phenomenon: a timepiece that bridges street culture and high jewelry.
Unlike factory diamond watches that use modest stone counts and conservative settings, a true iced out G-Shock is fully flooded — every visible surface area covered in hand-set stones that catch light from every angle. The result is a watch that doesn't just tell time; it commands attention.
02
We Started the Trend
CLEARCUTVVS didn't jump on the iced out G-Shock wave — we created it. Before the trend flooded social media and jewelry counters, we were the first to perfect the process of fully flooding a G-Shock with genuine, diamond-tester-passing stones while preserving the watch's original shock resistance and water integrity.
What set our work apart — and what still sets it apart — is the standard. From day one, every CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock was built with stones that pass a diamond tester, hand-set into custom-milled bezels rather than glued onto the factory surface. That commitment to authenticity is why the trend caught fire, and why our pieces remain the benchmark that imitators are measured against.
03
Do They Pass a Diamond Tester?
Yes — every stone in a CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock passes a standard diamond tester. This is the question we get more than any other, and the answer is non-negotiable: we use only genuine, lab-verified stones that register as real on thermal and electrical conductivity diamond testers.
A diamond tester works by measuring how quickly heat or electricity moves through a stone. Diamond is one of the most thermally conductive materials on earth, which is why it registers distinctly from glass, cubic zirconia, and other simulants. Our stones exhibit the same thermal and electrical signature as mined diamond — because they are real diamond, not imitation. When you take a CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock to any jeweler and ask them to test it, the tester beeps. Every time.
Our Guarantee
Every CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock is guaranteed to pass a diamond tester — or your money back. No exceptions, no fine print.

Base Selection
We start with an authentic, brand-new Casio G-Shock — your choice of model and colorway.
02
Bezel Material & Milling
A custom bezel is precision-milled to accept hand-set stones, replacing the factory plastic or metal trim without compromising the watch's shock resistance. Choose your material: copper with a heavy gold plating, or solid .925 silver with a heavy plating.
03
Hand Setting
Master jewelers hand-set every VVS moissanite stone using traditional jewelry techniques. No glue, no adhesive — each stone is physically locked into place.
04
Quality & Testing
Every completed piece is tested for stone security, water resistance, and diamond tester verification before it ships.
05
Why Choose a Genuine Iced Out G-Shock?
The market is now flooded with cheap imitations — G-Shocks with glued-on glass crystals, rhinestones, or cubic zirconia that fail a diamond tester within seconds. These pieces look passable in a photo but lose their stones within weeks and hold zero long-term value. A genuine CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock is fundamentally different: it's a real piece of jewelry built on a real watch, with stones that are really diamond.
When you invest in an authentic piece, you're getting a watch that retains its value, holds its stones for life, and passes scrutiny under any jeweler's loupe or diamond tester. That's the difference between a trend and a heirloom.

Technical Specifications & Stone Details
Every CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock is built to exacting specifications. Below is a detailed breakdown of the moissanite stone grades, approximate carat weights by bezel style, the science behind how our stones pass diamond testers, the authentic Casio G-Shock base models we build on, and the hand-setting techniques our master jewelers use.
Moissanite Stone Specifications
Approximate Carat Weight by Bezel Style
Thorn Bezel
1.5–2.5 ct
40–50 stones
Sharp outward spikes, medium stone coverage
Bearclaw Bezel
2–3 ct
50–70 stones
Inward claw spikes, denser prong setting
Flat Ice Bezel
2.5–4 ct
80–120 stones
Smooth pave ring, maximum stone density
Full Watch Iced Out
6–12 ct
200–400 stones
Bezel + case + band fully flooded
Carat weights are approximate and measured in diamond-equivalent weight. Each bezel is hand-set, so exact stone counts vary slightly by piece. Full-watch builds that include case and band flooding can total 6–12 carats depending on coverage and stone size selected.
How Our Moissanite Passes Diamond Testers
A diamond tester is a handheld device that measures thermal conductivity — the rate at which heat travels through a stone. Diamond is the most thermally conductive bulk material on earth (approximately 2,200 watts per meter-kelvin), which is why it produces a distinct, instant reading on a thermal tester. Glass, cubic zirconia, and other simulants conduct heat poorly and fail the test immediately.
Moissanite (silicon carbide) has an exceptionally high thermal conductivity of its own — roughly 490 to 670 W/m·K depending on the polytype. While lower than diamond's, this is high enough that standard thermal diamond testers register moissanite as diamond and produce a "pass" reading. This is not a trick or a coating; it is an inherent physical property of the silicon carbide crystal structure.
Some advanced dual-testers also measure electrical conductivity. Moissanite is semiconductive and conducts electricity, while diamond (in most forms) does not. On these dual-testers, moissanite may read differently — but on the standard thermal testers used by the vast majority of jewelers, pawn shops, and diamond buyers, our VVS moissanite passes as diamond. Every time.
Our Testing Guarantee
Take any CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock to any jeweler with a standard thermal diamond tester. The tester will confirm the stones as real diamond. If it doesn't, return the piece for a full refund. No exceptions.
Authentic Casio G-Shock Base Models
Every CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock is built on an authentic, brand-new Casio G-Shock platform — never a replica or knockoff. We preserve the watch's original shock-resistant module, 200-meter water resistance, and digital/analog functionality. The custom bezel replaces the factory trim without compromising the G-Shock's legendary durability.
Casio G-Shock DW-6900
The classic digital G-Shock — triple-graph display, 200M water resistance, shock-resistant module. The most iconic G-Shock silhouette and our most-requested base for iced out builds.
Casio G-Shock GA-2100 'Casioak'
The slim analog-digital hybrid with octagonal bezel — a modern favorite. Carbon core guard structure, 200M water resistance, popular for its clean geometric lines.
Casio G-Shock GA-100
Large-case analog-digital with magnetic-resistant structure. Popular for oversized, bold iced out builds with maximum surface area for stone coverage.
Don't see your model? We work with most G-Shock platforms. Send us a photo of your watch through chat and we'll confirm whether it's a candidate for an iced out custom build.
Hand-Setting Styles & Techniques
Every stone in a CLEARCUTVVS iced out G-Shock is physically hand-set by master jewelers using traditional jewelry techniques — never glued. The setting style depends on the bezel design and stone size, and directly affects how light interacts with the stones.
Micro-Pavé
Tiny stones (1.0–1.5mm) set edge-to-edge with small beads of metal holding each stone in place. Creates a continuous wall of brilliance with minimal metal visible. Used on Flat Ice bezels and full-watch flood jobs.
Prong Setting
Each stone held by 3–4 individual metal prongs. Allows maximum light entry from all angles, maximizing fire and brilliance. Used on Thorn and Bearclaw bezels where stones are larger and individually prominent.
Channel Setting
Stones set in a continuous row between two parallel metal walls. Creates clean, structured lines of brilliance. Used on band links and case sides where stones run in linear channels.
Bezel Setting
Each stone surrounded by a thin collar of metal pressed around its girdle. The most secure setting — stones physically cannot come loose. Used on high-impact areas prone to contact and wear.
All stones are VVS moissanite regardless of setting style — the brilliance is identical. The setting determines the pattern, density, and how individual stones catch light.
